Bophirima FM
Bophirima FM is a legally entity registered as no-profit organisation Act 1997 section 13, of Department of Social Development. It will be community tool for gathering, informing and disseminating information, encouraging maximum community participation to improve the lives of the communities.
About Bophirima FM
Primary aim is to cover and promote local content and any other activities happening within the District Municipalities. It will be the Station responsibilities to make sure that the communities within the jurisdiction of the District have access to information on what is happening around the Municipalities in the District as well as to utilise Bophirima FM in that aspects. It is our vision as Bophirima FM that all Local Municipalities within the District area receive full coverage of broadcasting.
Bophirima FM's Mission
We will broadcast to the communities of the District with the special emphasis on previously disadvantaged, and we believe and encourage communities to participate in their own developments in broadcasting. Our on air programmes will mainly focus on providing up to date information, entertainment and education of the communities as to participate meaningfully in their own developments, and with special emphasize on: Contributing towards strong civil society within DR Ruth Segomotsi Mompati District Municipality in general. To afford the local businesses sector an opportunity to advertise their services to wider communities within our District. To develop the local talent in broadcasting and promote local music talent. To air community debates through the radio programs on burning issues that are likely affecting the community. To invite various governments departments to inform listeners about developmental programmes and policies of the government. To undertake activities that will promote the wellbeing of the communities in the District.
